NBR/NITRILE Rubber Sheeting
Copolymers of butadiene and acrylonitrile, usually known as NITRILE RUBBERS

Depending on the acrylonitrile content (ACN) NBR can be classified as: Low ACN (18-24%). Medium ACN (34%) and High ACN (50%) content.

With increasing the ACN content of NBR, resistance to oils, fuel, etc. be increased, tensile strength, resistance to abrasion, hardness, temperature resistance and permeability be improved.

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE of NBR

Good resistance to most inorganic chemical products, apart from antioxidizing agents and chlorides.
Satisfactory resistance to aliphatic hydrocarbons, but limited resistance to aromatics.

PROPERTIES of NBR

Resistance to oils, and can be formulated for applications at relatively high temperatures.
Good mechanical properties, such as traction, compression and flexion.
Impermeable to gases.
